A 'false positives' recruiter testified on Monday to receiving $500 from the Colombian Army for each young man he recruited, who were then murdered and registered by the army as enemy guerrillas, reported Sante Fe Radio.
Speaking before a judge in Bogota today, Alexander Carretero Diaz testified to being hired by the army to recruit young men in the town of Soacha, south of Bogota, receiving payment of $500 for each successful recruit, plus travel and food expenses.
The young men were then murdered and registered by the army as enemy guerrillas killed in combat, to inflate the army's kill count of enemy units.

Just disgusting and heartbreaking. I don't know what to say to a story like this.

I call it fake. Nobody is going to go through the trouble of getting military records on people they just need a body count for. They'd just kill them first and make the victims 'soldiers' later.
The fool making the claim can't explain how he's got the credentials to recruit anyone in the first place. Would you believe anyone coming to your door saying he's an Army Recruiter? Prolly not.
